I am extremely lucky to have grown up in the Pacific Northwest with all it has to offer. I enjoyed the beaches, farmers markets, shopping downtown, the night life and comedy clubs of Pioneer Square. I attended music, art, food and boating festivals around the Puget Sound. Where else can you start in the desert, drive over a mountain range, sail over the water to the rain forest and end up at the ocean all in one day?
Eventually, my dogs and I headed east to explore the foothills of Washington. In the Snoqualmie Valley I discovered the country life: while still only a twenty minute jaunt from a progressive Metropolitan Center. The Valley of the Moon offered abundant hiking and biking trails, rivers and lakes to paddle, waterfalls, wildlife and plenty of space for a large garden!
